Another day, another e-wallet announcing that they will charge 'Reload Fee' if you're going to reload using credit card.
For Boost app, it called this as 'convenience fee' (different name, yet same type of charges 😑)
However, this is not new for Boost app user. Because just in March 2024, they already announced that they will charge convenience fee of 1% but waived it up to certain reload amount per month. (Click here to read the throwback)
Now, Boost app is making an adjustment on such reload. Is it getting better or worse?
What is a Convenience Fee?
Convenience Fee is a fee incurred and payable by you for adding money into your Boost Wallet using credit card. With effect 14th October 2024, the Convenience Fee is 0.75% of the amount added to the Boost Wallet via credit card.

Example, Bobby has added RM500 to his Boost Wallet via credit card. He will incur a Convenience Fee of RM3.75 (RM500 * 0.75%).
Will I be impacted by this if I have Auto Bill Payments linked with credit card?
Yes, all Auto Bill Payments linked to a Credit Card (i.e. auto deduct the bill amount using credit card linked to Boost Account) are subject to Convenience Fee, which is 0.75% of the amount paid via credit card.
