DASHBOARD CAMERA SAFETY SCORECARD (CAMSCORE) PROGRAM
The CAMSCORE is a star rating program developed by MIROS in partnership with CyberSecurity Malaysia. The program is one of the activities planned under the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between MIROS and CyberSecurity Malaysia.
In general, the CAMSCORE program conducts star rating assessment for dashcam products that are and being sold in Malaysia.
The initial phase (Phase 1) of CAMSCORE evaluates dashcam specifications via three pre-defined features, namely basic features, advanced features, and Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS).
With the CAMSCORE program, consumers / users can not only learn more about the quality of the camera but also assist them by ensuring that their purchase is worth the price.
The following are the objectives of the CAMSCORE program:
- To stimulate good dashcams to enter the Malaysia market.
- To assist in crash investigation and ultimately reduce related road crashes by encouraging safe driving.
- To provide consumers with an additional tool to be used when choosing a dashcam to purchase while providing deeper insights on the safety aspect.
