AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad announced that its associated company - AEON Bank (M) Berhad has obtained approval from the Bank Negara Malaysia and the Minister of Finance to commence its digital banking operations in Malaysia. 

This positions AEON Bank as the first Islamic digital bank in Malaysia.

The approval was granted pursuant to BNM’s validation of the Bank’s operational readiness. AEON Bank is also a subsidiary of AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd.

Dubbed as the 1st primarily Malaysian-owned digital bank with a pioneering embedded digital bank app, Boost Bank has officially received Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) approval to commence operations as a digital bank with effect from 15th January, 2024.

The Boost-RHB Digital Bank Consortium received regulatory approval ahead of the scheduled timeline, following a thorough operational readiness review validated by BNM.
