RM150 e-wallet credit under e-Pemula / e-Start

As per the 2022 Budget announcement, a total of RM300 million will be allocated to benefit around 2 million youths via an e-tunai initiative called e-Pemula or e-Start.

Youth who are qualified will be receiving e-tunai credit as much as RM150 each, via their chosen e-wallet which will kick off in mid-April. Which e-wallet is available for us to choose from? Who is qualified to get the RM150? How to apply?

Congratulations, if you're between the age of 18 - 20 and as well as full-time students at institutions of higher learning, the RM150 will be credited as a one-off payment into your chosen e-wallet account.

Of course, you must be Malaysian lah 😁

There are a total of four approved / selected e-wallets providers participating in this initiative:
  1. BigPay
  2. GrabPay
  3. ShopeePay
  4. Touch'nGo eWallet
Currently, the four e-Wallet service providers have a network of 1.2 million retailers, where youth can utilize the credit given. Hopefully, youth will make full use of the credit given to buying books?

Small and medium enterprise traders who have not registered with any of these four e-wallet service providers to accept electronic or cashless payments are advised to do so, in order to enjoy the benefit of the implementation of this initiative.
