Do you know these EV related Tax Incentives offered by Government?

Yeah! Tesla Malaysia officially launched here by opening its office in Malaysia today. As part of Tesla's commitment to Malaysia, the company has unveiled a comprehensive development plan for experience centre, service and support, and charging infrastructure in the country, aimed at delivering a seamless Tesla ownership experience.

In line with Malaysia’s goal to promote low-carbon mobility and support the electric vehicle (EV) industry, Tesla customers will enjoy some tax incentives for newly registered zero-emission vehicles.

Here are the Tax Incentives 💖💖💖:

  1. Tax Exemption

EV owners can enjoy full import and excise duty exemption for newly-registered EV (completely built-up electric vehicles) with 100% road tax exemption.

  2. Personal Tax Relief

EV owners are entitled to personal tax relief of up to RM2,500 for expenses spent on charging facilities for their EV (not for business use). Expenses such as the cost of installation, rental, purchase, including hire-purchase equipment or subscription fees for EV charging facilities, for YA2023.

  3. Tax Deductions

Companies that rent non-commercial EVs are eligible for tax deductions of up to RM 300,000 on rental expenses. This applies from YA2023 to YA2025.

Is this enough to convince or entice you to upgrade your car to EV model? 👀💢
